History of Foton

1996

In August, 1996, Foton Motor was established in Beijing China.

2002

In August, 2002, the first FOTON AUMAN truck was born.

2004

In November 2004, the 1,000,000th vehicle, FOTON AUV bus, rolled off the assembly line.

2006

In September 2006, the German Speyer technology museum collects Auman ETX. The next day, Auman ETX participates in the show race with Mercedes-Benz trucks in the world famous Formula One F1 at Hockenheim.

2008

In March, 2008, the joint venture of Foton and Cummins, Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., is formally established.

2010

In August, 2010, FOTON launched the new brand logo "Brilliant Diamond" , which implies Foton’s commitment to technological innovation, human care and the beauty of harmony.

2011

In September, 2011, FOTON'S 5,000,000th vehicle rolled off the assembly line in China.

2012

In February, 2012, the joint venture of Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. was founded in Beijing China.

2013

In April, 2013, the first business-class van - FOTON VIEW CS2 launched in China.

2014

In January, 2014, FOTON sent TUNLAND to compete at Dakar 2014 for the first time.

2016

In September, 2016, FOTON all-new medium and heavy duty truck - AUMAN EST, showed at IAA in Germany.

2017

In September, 2017, Foton ZF joint venture was established. Groundbreaking ceremony of Foton & ZF high-end automatic transmission project was launched.
